This automobile with the getting-on/off device for a wheelchair is provided with an openable/closable opening part 11 in the rear part of a vehicle body, and two side frames mutually spaced parallel to each other along the length direction of the vehicle. A wheelchair getting-on/off device 10 is positioned near a rear gate of the automobile in a place formed by removing a cabin floor 15. Ordinarily, a getting-on/off floor 13 of the wheelchair getting-on/off device 10 is positioned in the same height as the cabin floor 13. The getting- on/off floor 13 of the wheelchair getting-on/off device 10 is formed facing to the opening part 11 between the respective side frames in the rear part of the vehicle body.
