PURPOSE: To enable easy judgement of air conditioned state in a vehicle by interlocking the operating device of an automotive air conditioner to an indication panel to indicate the direction of air and temperature thereof on the panel.

CONSTITUTION: An automotive air conditioner 1 incorporates outside air and indoor air intake ducts 21, 22, defroster, vent and diffuser ducts 23 to 26, a plurality of dampers 27 to 29 for opening and closing the ducts 21 to 26, respectively, and a fan 3. The dampers 27 to 29 and the blower are operated by the operating device 5 of the air conditioner 1. When the control lever 51, the heater lever 52, the fan switch 53, and indoor and outside air lever 57 of the device 5 are suitably operated, the air conditioned state, i.e., the direction of the air and the temperature theerof or the like corresponding to the operations of the device 5 is so indicated on the indication panel 611 of the indicator 6 for indicating the contour of the periphery of the front seat within the vehicle body longitudinally via lamp or the like in picture state for clear judgement by the operator.
