PURPOSE: To control the permeating light quantity of a hood and prevent a driver from becoming dizzy by providing a film-shaped liquid crystal shutter controlling the translucent property and nontranslucent property in response to the light distribution pattern of a headlamp on the inside of the translucent hood arranged in front of a headlamp lens.
CONSTITUTION: A film-shaped liquid crystal shutter 2 controlling the translucent property and nontranslucent property in response to the light distribution pattern of a headlamp 5 on the inside of a translucent hood 2 arranged in front of a headlamp lens 6. The light distribution of the headlamp 5 is electrically changed to obtain the light distribution pattern optimum for various operation states, no outside daylight is reflected on a headlamp reflecting mirror 7, the dizzy feeling given to drivers on opposing vehicles can be surely prevented, and safety can be improved.
