Abstract:
To provide an automotive lighting unit with an OLED light source and a related operating method.SOLUTION: An automotive lighting unit 1 includes a lighting device 4 with one or more OLED light sources 8, and an electronic device 12 configured to control the OLED light source 8 by a pilot signal P1 having a falling interval in which the pilot signal P1 changes between a high value Vmax and a low value Vmin, determine an electricity amount VS indicating the electrical behavior of the OLED light source 8 at a measurement time interval toff following the falling interval of the pilot signal P1, and determine the failure state of the OLED light source 8 on the basis of the electricity amount VS.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
