PURPOSE: To suppress jumping of the rear part of a vehicle at the time of collision and produce the desired energy absorption effect of an automotive body.
CONSTITUTION: A front pillar 16 is erected on the upper surface of the front end of each of lockers 12 longitudinally extended on both sides of the lower part of an automotive body 10. A protrusion part 20 extending frontward of a vehicle is formed on the lower part 16A of the front pillar 16 positioned facing the upper part of a front tire. The front 20A of the protrusion 20 is formed in an arcuate shape extending vertically of a vehicle along the ground touch surface of a front tire 14. A portion positioned almost opposite to the upper end of the front tire forms a top part 20B protruded most toward the front of a vehicle.
