Abstract:

To provide an automotive member made of a 7000-based aluminum alloy rolled sheet and having the strength and stress corrosion cracking resistance.

An automotive member is made up of a 7000-based aluminum alloy rolled sheet with a specific composition and has high strength with a 0.2% proof stress of 350 MPa or more, high ductility, and SCC resistance by controlling a grain size distribution of fine grains evaluated by an X-ray small-angle scattering method and a normalized dispersion of the grain size distribution in a crystal grain of the aluminum alloy sheet after artificial aging treatment.
