Abstract:
A pedal support structure for a vehicle includes a main body (11) provided between a catcher (61) and a toe board (1). A front end of the main body (11) is connected to the toe board (1), and a rear end (25) thereof is spaced apart from a downwardly inclined surface (62) of the catcher (61). A pedal bracket support part (41) has a supporting surface (45) supported on a bulkhead. The pedal bracket has a connecting surface (24), and the supporting surface is connected to the supporting surface (45). When a force is applied to a front part of the vehicle, the load rearwardly moves the main body (11), the connecting surface (24) slides on the supporting surface (45), and the rear end (25) of the main body (11) slides downwardly along the inclined surface (62) of the catcher (61). Accordingly, a pedal (55) on the pedal support structure is moved toward an engine compartment of the vehicle without moving toward a passenger.
