Abstract:
The toroid variator system (7) has toroid chambers made of two drive disks (10,12) rotating at different speeds and in drive connection via swiveling rollers. There are two chambers side-by-side with a central drive disk common to both chambers. There is a single row ball bearing (60) for an intermediate shaft (14) holding the central drive disk, with its outer race fastened to a part of the housing (62).
