Abstract:
To save time and labor of a worker to change the direction of a cart by remote-controller operation or by hand push when an autonomous traveling cart reaches a work site.SOLUTION: An autonomous traveling cart includes: a body that includes a loading part on which an article or a carrying container is loaded; multiple wheels; a drive device that drives at least one of the multiple wheels; a sensor that detects an object; and a control device that controls the operation of the autonomous traveling cart. The control device controls the autonomous traveling cart so as to travel to a designated work site on the basis of an instruction by a worker, recognizes, when determining that the autonomous traveling cart reaches the work site, the object which is present within a predetermined search region and which meets a predetermined condition as an objective worker on the basis of data from the sensor, and controls the drive device in such a way that the autonomous traveling cart stops in a predetermined direction relative to a rack at the work site and to the objective worker.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
