PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply power to a load device in a short time even when generated power amount of power generation element is small, by activating a power generation control circuit in a short time.SOLUTION: An autonomous power supply system 1 comprises: a power generation control circuit 4 for controlling power generation efficiency of a power generation element 2; a power storage element group of C1 to C6 to be charged with power generated by the power generation element 2; and a charge control circuit 5 for controlling charge operation and discharge operation for the power storage element group. The power storage element group includes: a primary power storage element C1 for supplying power to the power generation control circuit 4 and charge control circuit 5; and secondary power storage elements C2 to C5 for supplying power to a load device 10. The primary power storage element C1 is preferentially charged with power generated by the power generation element 2, and, after that, the secondary power storage elements C2 to C5 are charged with power from the primary power storage element C1. A capacity value of the primary power storage element C1 is set to be smaller than capacity values of the secondary power storage elements C2 to C5.
