Abstract:
To provide excellent assist to a patient's circulatory system.SOLUTION: A control device (100) which controls a rotary speed (nVAD(t)) of a non-beating type auxiliary artificial heart, namely VAD (50), and which uses an event based in-beat control strategy is configured so that, the rotary speed of the VAD is changed in a cardiac cycle of a heart to be assisted, and the change of the rotary speed is synchronized with the heart beat by at least one series of trigger signals (σ(t)) related to at least one in-cardiac cycle prescribed feature event, and the control device (100) is provided on a VAD(50) for heart assist for controlling preferably, for example, the VAD being a catheter based blood pump, in a non-beat rotation system.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
