The safety belt for high place work consists of the belt main body 1 fitted with a buckle at one end and a wide auxiliary belt 2 disposed on the inner surface of the main body 1. The belt 2 is formed by attaching the cushion layer 7 obtained by wrapping a cushion material such as urethane foam with an inner surface sheet on the inner surface of the belt base material. Then, this layer 7 and the material 6 are integrated by sewing up with a plural number of sewing lines 13 in parallel with both of the upper and lower edges and at this time, the layer 7 is recessed by the lines 13 to form the ventilation grooves 14 in the longitudinal direction. In addition, many sewing lines 13' are formed also in the width direction to form many ventilation grooves 14' in the width direction.
