To provide an auxiliary binding implement which when binding articles to be bound by using a binding material such as a string, facilitates the handling of the binding material and is easily handled.
The auxiliary binding implement 10 is used when the articles to be bound Z is bound by the binding material Y, and includes: a base part 12; a plurality of first columns 14 raised in end positions when the base part 12 is planarly viewed; and a second column 16 raised in a position away from each of the first columns 14. The second column 16 is formed in such a manner that the width dimension of the top end 16B thereof is larger than the width dimension of the connection part 16A thereof to the base part 12 and an engagement part 30 for engaging the binding material Y is formed in the connection parts 14A of the first columns 14 and the base part 12.
