Abstract:
To solve such a problem that an automobile operation sometimes causes an irreparable large accident regardless of age or gender, since an automobile, of which an accelerator is depressed mistaken for a brake, becomes like a dangerous weapon when especially an old man operates the automobile.SOLUTION: An automobile is protected from accidents with following three brakes: 1. brake pedal; 2. double panic brake pedal at a point of 3 cm to 4 cm above an accelerator pedal; 3. double panic brake prop at a point of 7 mm to 1 cm on both sides of the accelerator pedal. When depressing the accelerator pedal mistaken for a brake with a foot, a platform is certainly depressed without depressing the double panic brake pedal and the accelerator pedal if the foot is raised by 5 cm and is stepped, and therefore, the automobile definitely stops. When depressing the accelerator pedal mistaken for the brake with a foot, the double panic brake prop ensures that the automobile stops if the foot is pushed forward as it is. This measures for preventing accidental depression of the accelerator pedal may be useful for eliminating major accidents.
