Abstract:
To provide methods for aiding in diagnosis of familial normal tension glaucoma to find related genes early.SOLUTION: A proportion of patients with primary open-angle glaucoma classified as normal-tension glaucoma is very high. The present invention is characterized by detecting METTL23 gene mutation. The METTL23 gene mutation is c.A83G. The METTL23 gene mutation is in exon 2. Furthermore, by detecting the intron 2 gene polymorphism (c.84+60delAT), familial normal tension glaucoma can be diagnosed further accurately.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
