To provide an auxiliary drive device of an engine to realize reduction of noise due to tramp as well as improvement of polyethylene V belt longevity at low cost.
A pulley is a polyethylene V pulley having grooves in the peripheral direction, a polyethylene V belt is a polyethylene V belt having crest parts corresponding to the grooves of the polyethylene V pulley, and at least the polyethylene V belt wound around the polyethylene V pulley of a generator for a vehicle constitutes its characteristic feature of dividing itself materially in it in a direction of an axis of rotation and providing each of the polyethylene V belts with the crest parts. Consequently, it is possible to previously parting tensile force working in the cross direction of the polyethylene V belt on the way and possible to extend the polyethylene V belt longevity by preventing cracking of the polyethylene V belt. Additionally, it is possible to restrain sudden increase of tramp of the polyethylene V belt due to resonance in the idle rotating neighbourhood large in rotational variation by moving characteristic frequency of the polyethylene V belt in the periphery of the generator.
