Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain sufficient electrical power and to aim at miniaturizing a main generator and at making the same lightweight,by installing an auxiliary generator driven by an internal combustion engine, for generating power which assists the main generator, between a wheel and a support member for the wheel. CONSTITUTION:A main generator which is attached to a crank shaft in an internal combustion engine, generates electrical power which is charged to a battery. In the above-mentioned arrangement, an auxiliary generator 22 is disposed between a front fork 11 and a wheel 15 on the side remote from a disc brake 19. Further, a rotor 23 in the auxiliary generator 22 is fastened to the side section of the wheel 15 by bolts 24, and is provided on its inner peripheral surface with permanent magnets. Further, the stator 26 of the auxiliary generator 22 is secured to the front fork 11, and is secured thereto with an iron core 31 on which a coil 30 is wound. With this arrangement power may be obtained from the auxiliary generator 22 in association with the rotation of the front wheel, and is charged to the battery.
