Title:
AUXILIARY POWER CONVERSION SYSTEM FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLE USING HIGH-FREQUENCY INJECTION INTO PWM INVERTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3541020
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power system for electric vehicle, which eliminates the need for a DC-DC converter which is used exclusively for generating an intermediate voltage and (or) a low voltage used for an auxiliary power system.
SOLUTION: The power system 10 for electric vehicle is provided with a driving motor 12, a high-voltage bus 20 which excites the motor 12 by supplying operating power, and an inverter 14 which incorporates a power switching device 16 and has outputs. The inverter 14 is connected between the bus 20 and motor 12, and a controller 18 is connected to the inverter 14 and furnishes motor control signals and high-frequency injection signals to the inverter 14. An auxiliary power unit 24 is connected to the output of the inverter 14 and supplies DC operating power, in response to the high-frequency injection signals. The driving motor 12 operates, in response to the motor control signals and is substantially not affected by the high-frequency injection signals.
