Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a small and light auxiliary base plate for writing a toba (a wooden symbol of a fivefold tomb, or a stupa) by standing a column on a base plate and installing a toba accepting stand equipped with a pressing nail at the top part thereof.
SOLUTION: A hollow shaft 2 is mounted neigbouring one end of a rectangular base plate 1. A height of the hollow shaft can be set by a method wherein a sleeve shaft 3 is incorporated into the hollow shaft 2 and a height controlling setscrew 5 is equipped therewith. A toba accepting plate 4 having an inclination against a level surface is equipped with at a top part of the sleeve shaft 3 and a toba pressing nail is equipped with the toba accepting plate 4 so as the toba is not removed. The whole auxiliary base plate can be small and light by mounting the base plate 1 under a cushion to be stabilized when the toba is written. At a time of using, a writing brush can be always used at the same position by a method wherein a neighbouring tip of the toba is pressed, mounted on the toba accepting plate 4 by hanging to the toba pressing nail 6 and the toba is fed forward as the toba is written.
