Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable a vehicle to perform stable running, even when the tire characteristic changes, by detecting lateral acceleration of the vehicle, when it performs a semi-steady circular turn, and determining a steering amount of front and rear wheels in a manner wherein this lateral acceleration obtains a predetermined amount. CONSTITUTION:An actuator 9, which steers a rear wheel, connects a solenoid valve 12, and it is controlled by a controller 17. The controller 17 inputs signals from a steering angle sensor 18, car speed sensor 19 and a G sensor 20 detecting lateral acceleration of a vehicle. A program, which decides the vehicle to perform a semi-steady circular turn when a car speed V and a handle steering angle theta continue a fixed value for the predetermined time, is built in the controller 17, and a signal of steering front and rear wheels is output in such a manner that the lateral acceleration, generated by the car speed and handle steering, obtains a predetermined value when the vehicle turns.
