Abstract:
To provide an awakening device that can inhibit a driver from feeling discomfort by an awakening stimulus.SOLUTION: An awakening device 1 comprises a sleepiness level measuring unit, a behavior detection unit, an intensity setting unit, and an awakening stimulus generation unit. The sleepiness level measuring unit measures the sleepiness level of a driver. The behavior detection unit detects the behavior of the driver. The intensity setting unit sets the intensity of an awakening stimulus based on the sleepiness level and the detection result of the behavior detection unit. The awakening stimulus generation unit generates the awakening stimulus according to the intensity. The intensity setting unit sets the intensity higher in the case of detecting the behavior of the driver compared to the case of not detecting the behavior of the driver under the same condition of the sleepiness level.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
