Abstract:
To provide an awakening support device and an awakening support method, which are capable of appropriately adjusting a time period during which a dialogue with a driver is performed according to a state of the driver.SOLUTION: A navigation device is comprised of: an awakening degree lowering detection unit 122 for detecting a reduction in an awakening degree of a driver based on vehicle information on a vehicle driven by the driver; a dialogue processing unit 124 for outputting a dialogue voice which is a voice interacting with the driver when the awakening degree lowering detection unit detects a lowering of the awakening degree of the driver; and an awakening degree return detection unit 123 for detecting a return from a decrease in the awakening degree of the driver based on the vehicle information after outputting the dialogue voice. The dialogue processing unit accomplishes an output of the dialogue voice when a restoration from the awakening degree of the driver is detected by the awakening degree return detection unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
