Abstract:
To provide an awning which can be quietly retracted and extended without causing vibration.
An awning comprises: base parts (9, 12 and 13) which can be attached to one part (17) of a building; a tent curtain shaft (4) which can be rotatably driven thereon by using a motor (3); an awning tent curtain (18) which can be retracted and extended and wound onto the tent curtain shaft (4) and unwound therefrom; and a noise influencing system (1) which has a controller (5) and at least one sound actuator (8) activated thereby and coupled to awning components (10 and 11). The sound actuator (8) produces a counter-sound pattern adapted to the sound pattern during the retraction and/or extension of the awning (2), for influencing the noise.
