Numerals 1 and 2 denote a propeller fan and a bell mouth opening shape respectively. The bell mouth is formed to have nonuniform clearances to the perimeter of the propeller fan 1, and specifically, to have varying clearances S1 to S6. The large clearance portions S1 to S3 are specially portions with a margin space for deformation of the front shape (opening shape) of the bell mouth toward the machine on which the axial blower is mounted. The margin spaces are used to enlarge the clearances between the bell mouth 2 and the perimeter of the propeller fan 1 and increase the air quantity.
