Title:
AXIAL FAN
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3422008
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an axial fan capable of suppressing generation of blade end vortices without influencing the sucking effect at the end on the suction hole side.
SOLUTION: The axial fan is equipped with a venturi case having a wind tunnel in cylindrical shape, an impeller having a plurality of blades and borne rotatably confronting the inside circumferential surface of the wind tunnel with a minor gap interposed in between, and a motor installed inside it for driving the impeller, wherein the peripheral end edge of each blade implanted in the impeller has a gradually increasing wall thickness from the end on the suction hole side toward the end on the discharge hole side so that the suction side of the end edge is thinner curving to the negative pressure surface side and the discharge side is thicker having an overhang to the pressure surface side.
