Title:
AXIAL-FLOW INDUCTION MOTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH09172758
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of an axial induction motor containing a stator having winding placed in grooves; and a laminated rotor that is separated from the stator by a gap and has a highly magnetically-conductive layer on a plane away from the stator and a high conductive layer on a plane opposed to the stator, and that is supported in such a manner that it is rotatable. SOLUTION: An at least partially additive magnetically-conductive layer 22 is formed on a highly conductive layer 18 on a plane opposed to a stator 10 to reduce loss due to higher harmonics. The magnetic conductivity of the additive magnetically-conductive layer 22 in the direction of rotation is lower than that of a highly magnetically-conductive layer 19 the thickness of which is smaller than that 18a of the highly magnetically-conductive layer 18 away from the stator 10 and opposed to the stator 10.
