Title:
AXIAL GAP MOTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000253635
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To attain high torque easily and improve the occupying rate of a coil, by forming a rotor out of a first magnet and a second magnet, and mounting them so as to sandwich a plurality of small stators.

A rotating shaft 12 is formed with a disc-shaped first magnet 18 by use of a first yoke 14 and a disc-shaped second magnet 20 by use of a second yoke 16 in parallel with the first magnet 18 with a prescribed spacing, thereby forming a rotor 11. A plurality of small stators 24, each of which is formed by winding a coil around a stator core are disposed circumferencially around the rotor shaft 12 to form a stator 22. The respective small stators 14 are fixed to the inner surface of a cylindrically vessel-shaped bracket 32 and disposed between the disc-shaped first magnet 18 and the second magnet 20. Therefore, the magnetic flux of the first magnet 18 and the second magnet 20 passes through the small stators 24, thus it is possible to attain high torque.
