Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an axial gap motor the output of which can be improved with use of reluctance torque.SOLUTION: A rotor 1 has a rotor frame 11 made of a magnetic body. A plurality of magnets 12 are attached to the rotor frame 11 with a circumferential interval equal to or larger than the circumferential width of each tooth 22 of a stator such that the stator-side magnetic poles of the magnets 12 are alternately changed. Cutouts 13 each having a circumferential width narrower than the circumferential width of each tooth 22 of the stator are formed at the interval portions between the magnets 12 on the rotor frame 11. A side 13a, on the front side in the rotating direction of the rotor, of each of the cutouts 13 is disposed at a position circumferentially the same as that of an end surface, on the front side in the rotating direction of the rotor, of the tooth 22, while the rotor 1 is disposed in a phase where the circumferential center of the interval portion between the magnets 12 at which the cutout 13 is formed coincides with the circumferential center of the tooth 22.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
