Abstract:
To provide an axial gap type induction rotary machine capable of improving torque in the case of a motor (electric motor) and capable of improving power generation efficiency in the case of a generator.SOLUTION: An axial gap type induction rotary machine R comprises: stators 1a and 1b including coils 13a (13a-1, 13a-2, 13a-3, ...) and 13b (13b-1, 13b-2, 13b-3, ...); a rotor 2 including first magnetic substance members 22 (22-1, 22-2, 22-3, ...) and disposed while being axially spaced apart from the stators 1a and 1b; and tabular second magnetic substance members 3a and 3b disposed on the first magnetic substance member 22 between the stators 1a and 1b and the rotor 2 and covering at least the whole face of the first magnetic substance member 22 opposed to the stator 1a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
