In this welding method, an axial member 3 having a head 2 on one end is inserted into the hole 8 of an opposite fixing member 7, with the welding projection 5 of the head 2 abutted on the opposite fixing member 7, and with a tip 9 of a welding machine brought into contact with the head 2 for energizing and welding. In this case, the tip 9 is applied to the tip contact part projecting in the head 2, thereby making a distance shortest between the tip 9 and the welding projection 5 for the energization.
