The axial piston pump 1 includes: an inlet port; a discharge port 10; a cylinder connection hole 12 of which one is connected to a cylinder 5 before the discharge port 10 is connected to the cylinder 5, while a piston 6 moves from a top dead center to a bottom dead center; a discharge port connection hole 15 of which one is connected to the discharge port 10; a pressure accumulation hole 16 in which working fluid pressurized to a constant pressure is held; a switch 14 which is connected to the other of the cylinder connection hole 12, the other of the discharge port connection hole 15, and the pressure accumulation hole 16; and a switching device 22 which is installed in the switch 14 and connects either one of the discharge port connection hole 15 or the pressure accumulation hole 16 to the cylinder connection hole 12 in response to the internal pressure of the discharge port 10.
