Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily adjust the height of a truck frame even in a non-dismantling condition in which a rolling stock body is placed on a truck, and to manufacture an axle box supporting device at a low cost.
SOLUTION: This axle box supporting device comprises an axle box 1 fitted to both ends of a wheel set via a bearing, an axle box supporting mechanism 5 for coupling the axle box 1 with the truck frame 4 while permitting the relative displacement in the vertical direction between the axle box 1 and the truck frame 4, and a coil spring 3 interposed between the axle box 1 and the truck frame 4 for supporting the truck frame 4. A notched part 1d with an open upper side in which a cylinder device 6 can be installed in a non-dismantling condition is provided at the placement position of the coil spring 3 at an upper end part of the axle box 1. In a normal condition, no cylinder device is installed, and the function for sealing compressive fluid in a lower axle spring seat and the axle box is unnecessary, and the lower axle spring seat and the axle box part can be manufactured at a low cost. When the height of the truck frame is adjusted, the cylinder device is installed, and the workability becomes excellent.
