To provide an axle device for rolling stock generating no fretting abrasion between an inner ring and a positioning member fitted to the outer periphery of a rotation shaft to contact each other, having a long lifetime, and capable of suppressing deterioration of lubricant.
A double-row tapered roller bearing 2 is arranged between an outer periphery of an axle 1 and an inner periphery of a shaft box 9 of the rolling stock. A circular rear lid 3 is fitted and fixed to the axially outer part of the double-row tapered roller bearing 2 in the outer periphery of the axle 1. A circular adhesion member 50 is arranged between an axially outer end surface of a second inner ring 7 of the double-row tapered roller bearing 2 and an axially inner end surface of the rear lid 3. The axially outer end surface of the second inner ring 7 is made to adhere to an axially inner end surface of the adhesion member 50, and the axially inner end surface of the rear lid 3 is made to adhere to an axially outer end surface of the adhesion member 50.
