Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a derivatized azide containing polymer, especially, an azide- containing polymer derivatized with a specified dipolarophile.
CONSTITUTION: There is provided with a polymer formed by the reaction of (a) the azide groups of a polymer containing at least about 30 wt.% azide groups and less than about 2 wt.% halogens with (b) at least one dipolarophile having reactive groups selected among olefins and alkynes, which polymer has triazole and/or triazoline groups and at least about 15 wt.% unreacted azide groups.
