Title:
AZIMUTH DETECTOR FOR MOVING BODY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6394108
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To correct the correction quantity of a magnetizing magnetic field according to two found circles automatically even when the magnetizing magnetic field varies by finding the two circles from magnetic detection signals before and after the moving body changes its direction. CONSTITUTION:A terrestrial magnetic detecting means 2 detects the (x) and (y) components of the terrestrial magnetism, and an initial correcting means 3 finds detection signals xv and yv corresponding to the magnetizing magnetic field and sets them as correction quantities x0 and y0 for canceling the influence of the magnetizing magnetic field to find the (x)- and (y)-axial radii Kx and Ky of a circle by using the maximum and minimum values on the respective axes of an x-y coordinate system. A magnetism correcting means 3 outputs correction detection signals X and Y based on those data. A correction quantity correcting means 6 corrects a change in the magnetizing magnetic field of the moving body with time by finding the center coordinates of the circle from a couple of magnetic detection signals inputted before and after the moving direction is changed and correct correction quantities x0 and y0 according to the center coordinates and both radii. A correcting means 4 outputs corrected detection signals X and Y to an angle arithmetic means 7 based on corrected correction quantities to calculate and output the accurate moving direction thetah.
