Abstract:
Azoiminoether hydrochlorides are prepared from azonitriles by a modification of the Pinner reaction in which the azonitrile is reacted under anhydrous conditions with a stoichiometrically equivalent amount of a monohydroxy compound in the presence of hydrogen chloride gas and of an ether group-containing compound.
