Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I and salt of said compound (A is azulene able to be substituted with lower alkyl and/or lower alkoxy; B is phenyl or tetrahydronaphthyl; n is 1 or 2).
EXAMPLE: N-[2-(p-ethoxycarbonyl methyloxyphenyl)-ethyl]-1-(methylazulene)-3- sulfonamide.
USE: Antagonist against non-prostanoyl-based thromboxane A2 and prostaglandin endoperoxide receptor.
PREPARATION: A compound expressed by the formula A-SO2Cl is reacted with a compound expressed by formula II (R is lower alkyl) to obtain a compound expressed by formula III and resultant compound is hydrolyzed to afford the compound expressed by formula I. Said hydrolysis is performed using NaOH or KOH, etc., in water or diluted alcohol solution.
