Abstract:
To provide B cells engineered to secrete follistatin and methods of using the same to treat follistatin-related diseases, conditions and disorders and to enhance muscle growth and strength.SOLUTION: The invention relates to methods for administering autologous and/or allogeneic B cells genetically modified to produce a therapeutic agent such as follistatin. Specifically disclosed are methods for administering a single, maximally effective dose of genetically modified B cells and methods for administering multiple doses of genetically modified B cells that express follistatin. The compositions and methods disclosed herein are useful for the long-term, in vivo delivery of follistatin.SELECTED DRAWING: None
