To provide a device for stably keeping a baby in a baby carriage in a horizontal position when the baby carriage is moved on a stairway or an inclined passage.

When a baby carriage descends on an inclined passage as shown in Fig.B, a wheel 3 and a wheel 4 are provided between a wheel 2 fitted to a handle 12 side and a pedestal 15, the wheel 3 is fixed to the pedestal 15, a movable fork 6 having the wheel 2 and the wheel 4 and fitted to a fixed fork 7 is provided on a fitting shaft 17 of the wheel 3 with versatility. By pushing down a lever 10, a movable plate 9 is moved downwardly, the movable fork 6 makes one half turn by a spring 8 with the shaft 17 of the wheel 3 as a supporting point, and the wheel 2 is moved forward and the wheel 4 is moved backward with the wheel 3 at a center. Therefore, the pedestal 15 can maintain a state close to that of the baby carriage when it is moved on a level by generating difference in height of the wheels to the gradient of the inclined passage.
