To provide a baby carriage having a reclining mechanism designed such that, when a backrest part is inclined, the head of a baby is positioned as high as possible.SOLUTION: A baby carriage 1 comprises: a front leg having a front wheel 3; a rear leg 9 having a rear wheel 7; a seat part 11 provided near respective upper ends of the rear leg and the front leg; a backrest part 13 continuously provided at a rear end of the seat part; and a hand rod 15 whose lower end is mounted on the rear leg and extending upward outside both sides of the backrest part. The rear end of the seat part and a lower end of the backrest part are pivotally attached to compose a reclining seat part 17 that allows the backrest part and the seat part to incline. Both sides of the backrest part, at a predetermined height from the lower end of the backrest part, are coupled to the hand rod so as to be inclinable. Using a support link member 41 whose lower end is pivotally attached to the front leg and whose upper end is pivotally attached to the seat part so as to be supportable, the underside of the seat part is supported so as to be movable forward and backward and also movable upward and downward. By inclining the backrest part backward, the seat part is supported by the support link member and, consequently, moved forward and also gradually moved upward.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
