Abstract:
PURPOSE: To form the titanium back cover for a wristwatch to be calked to the case of the wristwatch.
CONSTITUTION: A sheet of β-type titanium alloy having ≤60μm average crystal grain diameter is punched into a disk, drawn and bent to form the titanium back cover 3 for a wristwatch without being annealed. The back cover has a flange 32 and a riser 31, and a protrusion for calking is formed on the riser. Since the back cover is formed without being annealed, the cover is formed most efficiently. Further, the strength of the β-type titanium alloy is high, the back cover is calked to the case.
