Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make it totally small by forming a plurality of approximately paralleled reinforcement ribs inside a thin type side wall, providing a partially tab shaped grounding terminal between the ribs, and contacting the grounding terminal to an outer shield member of a corresponding connector.
CONSTITUTION: A header housing 6 has side walls 10 provided with a side wall parts 26 having edge reinforcement ribs 28, 30. A plurality of reinforcement ribs 32 are placed integrated with the side walls 10 along with a full length of the thin side wall parts 26 to reinforce the side wall parts 26. Further, a header assembly body 2 is provided with a plurality of signal contacts 36 having a compliant pin part 38 projecting from a bottom surface 8 to outside and includes male pin parts 40 arranged inside a header between the side walls 10. Further, the header assembly body 2 is provided with a plurality of grounding contacts 44 having compliant pin parts 46 and grounding pin parts 48 placed between reinforcement ribs 32. An upper shield 22 includes an upper plate 70 and is placed on a housing part 12 and on a terminal sub-assembly body 20. Thereby, a total width dimension is decreased.
