PURPOSE: To produce the easier-to-see sentences by shifting a state where the same character strings are arranged in the same way between the adjacent rows or columns by changing the expressions before and after the same character strings.
CONSTITUTION: The prescribed number of same character strings designated by a user are set to a buffer for prescribed number, and two adjacent rows or columns are set to a collation buffer from the head of a document. Then the collation is applied to each character at and after the head of the collation buffer. When the same character strings are detected after the collation, the number of characters of the character strings are compared with the prescribed number of characters. The same character strings are decided when the former number is larger than or equal to the latter number. Then a message is displayed on a display and the same character strings are displayed with inversion. The presence or absence of a character string to be replaced is checked between the same character strings. If the presence of the subject character string is confirmed, a replacement process is carried out by reference to a replacement table. Meanwhile the action mode is switched to a correction mode for the user if the absence of the subject character string is confirmed. These actions are repeated until a document is through.
