Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly rotate a back-up roll itself even under such conditions as load applied to each roller train is varied.
SOLUTION: This unit is a back-up roll unit in which a roll 3 is fit through three or more rows of the roller trains 5A, 5B, 5C, 5D which are adjacent in the direction of the axial center P to the outer perophery of a support shaft 4 and load distribution in the radial direction of the each of the roller trains 5A, 5B, 5C, 5D is approximately equalized in the direction of the axial center of the roll.
