To provide a backing for a building material in which, when manufacturing the backing, a cut section for a weldable part which is capable of concealing a welding mark with a component for a building material such as a frame side blade of a hinge, can be efficiently formed in the backing, and a manufacturing method of a backing structure for the building material.
A backing 20 to be welded to a side frame member 5 that is a building material, is confronted with a blade 11 of a hinge 10 disposed in the side frame member 5 via the side frame member 5, and is used for reinforcing and coupling the blade 11 that is a component for the building material, to the side frame member 5 via a coupler penetrating the side frame member 5. In the backing 20, a cut section 21 is formed which at least partially becomes a welded part 22 that can be welded to the side frame member 5, inside of an outer contour 14 of the blade 11. When punching the backing 20 from a sheet metal, the cut section 21 is also simultaneously formed by punching.
