Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a backing carving roll capable of preventing the deformation of shift preventing projections caused by air contained in the resin constituting a backing layer.
CONSTITUTION: A backing carving roll 21 can form a backing layer having shift preventing projections on the rear surface of a mat thereof by bonding the semi-gelled resin R applied to the rear surface of the mat under pressure and consists of an outer wall part 22 having a large number of the molding holes 25 corresponding to the shift preventing projections on the rear surface of the mat provided thereto and an inner wall part 23 having the grooves 26 communicating with the bottom parts of the molding holes 25 provided in the peripheral surface thereof.
