To provide a backpack strap attaching structure where a broad space is formed between a backpack strap and a backpack frame suitable for penetration of arms and shoulders and which is hard to be damaged.
A backpack strap 5 includes a strap body 15 of which upper end 15b is connected to a backpack frame 4 and a pad 16 which is attached to the strap body 15 on a user side. An upper portion 15a of the strap body 15 and an upper portion 16a of the pad 16 are spaced apart from each other by a specified distance. The upper end 16b of the pad 16 has a shape and a strength enough to prevent the backpack strap 5 from falling sideways, when in contact with the backpack frame 4. Contact state holding means 20, 21, 22 are provided to hold an upper end 16b of the pad 16 in contact with the backpack frame 4. Owing to a tensile force of the upper portion 15a of the strap body 15 and a stiffness of the upper portion 16a of the pad 16, the upper portion 16a of the pad 16 is held in a projecting state with the upper end 16b of the pad 16 as a support point.
