Abstract:

To improve the fitting property of a backrest or a seat of a chair.

The backrest 5 is made of resin and flexibly deformed and extended and deformed by the backrest-leaning load of a person. The back face of a back inner shell 13 is formed with a pair or a plurality of pairs of left/right brackets 15 into a single step or a plurality of steps, and a support 16 provided at the back frame 10 is fitted into the brackets 15. A support insertion hole of the bracket 15 is a long hole 18 in an inclined attitude, and when a backrest load is applied to the back inner shell 13, the back inner shell 13 is largely backward-projectingly bent and deformed while extending and deforming to widen its left/right interval. In the locking state, the back inner shell 13 has a bending curvature in the plan view smaller than that in the unlocking state so as to secure high fitting property to the human body.
