Abstract:

PURPOSE: To detect the interruption of a backup power supply surely, by collating a key word written in a specific area of a volatile memory with a predetermined key word at the restoration of main power supply.

CONSTITUTION: When a main power supply is stopped and then restored, and when a control circuit 7 starts the operation with off-hook, the key words are collated after initializing. If the backup power supply is stopped at the stop of the main power supply, since the key word written in an RAM73 is indefinite, it is discriminated that the key word is not correct. Since each data in a coin register, an imposition register, and a cash box full register relating to the RAM 73 are similarly indefinite, the registers are cleared to zero. A new key word is written in the RAM73, and a cash box storage circuit is reset, and then communication processing is done.
