To provide a backup power supply of a simplified structure which is suitable for realizing a compact structure by eliminating thermal problems and which can also be loaded, for example, to a drive bay of a cabinet comprising electronic devices.
A battery pack 20, integrally accommodating a secondary battery and an electronic circuit for controlling the charge of the secondary battery into a battery case, is housed into a case 30 which can be loaded to a prescribed drive bay of the prescribed cabinet 10. Particularly, the battery pack is provided with a heat-radiating plate 5 which is brought into contact with the circumference of the secondary battery, to expose the surface thereof to the external side of the battery case. The battery case forms a prescribed gap between the internal surface of the case and the heat radiating plate of the battery pack, to provide a support part (burring projection 35) for supporting the battery pack and a cooling fan 40 which is built in the rear surface of the case of cause air to ventilate into the case.
